I Am A Star has returned to racing in excellent form this time and is a clear $2.20 favourite in 2017 Sunline Stakes betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au, ahead of First Seal ($4.80) and Godolphin mare Circular ($6.50).

Will I Am A Star justify favouritism and win the 2017 Sunline Stakes, or will one of her talented rivals post an upset?

1st

I Am A Star ($2.20)

I Am A Star is undoubtedly the formed filly of the Sunline Stakes field, is treated extremely well in the weights as a three-year-old and should just win the race. Storming home to beat an open field in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m) at the end of her spring preparation, I Am A Star resumed this time for a close second in the Group 2 Rubiton Stakes (1100m). While luckless when seventh in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate (1100m), the I Am Invincible filly returned to winning form in the Group 2 Kewney Stakes (1400m) and will relish a step up to a mile this evening.

2nd

Rising Romance ($10)

Rising Romance’s class is sure to count for plenty in the 2017 Sunline Stakes and the mare undoubtedly offers punters the best value for money at current $10 odds to win, or $2.65 to finish in the first three. A Group 1 winner, Rising Romance has continued to produce strong results for Lindsay Park through recent seasons and resumed this time for a close second in the Group 3 Frances Tressady Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on March 4th. Drawn well and with in-form hoop Regan Bayliss in the saddle, Rising Romance should be right in the finish of the Sunline Stakes.

3rd

Turbo Miss ($9.50)

Turbo Miss carries winning form into the Sunline Stakes and is another mare that is arguably over the odds at her current quote. Resuming for third in the John Moule BM78 (1100m) on February 4th, the daughter of Sebring ran a close second in the Fisher & Paykel BM84 (1200m) before taking out the Frances Tressday Stakes last time out. Damian Lane will take the ride on Turbo Miss from the rails draw this evening.
