Fenway has returned to racing in typically slick form this time and remains outright $4 favourite in 2016 Sunline Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Capping a standout autumn campaign with success in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) and second in the Group 1 Australasian Oaks (2000m) last year, Fenway resumed in spring for ninth in the Group 2 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) before returning to winning form in the Group 2 Stocks Stakes (1600m) at the Valley.

Failing to fire in the Group 3 David Jones Cup (2000m), the High Chaparral mare ended her impressive year a close second in the Group 1 Myer Classic (1600m) on October 31st.

Clearly needing the run when ninth in the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) first-up this time, Fenway has since placed second in the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes (1800m) and fourth in the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m).

Charged with overcoming the outside barrier, Fenway has been confirmed to be partnered by notable hoop Blake Shinn.

Miss Rose De Lago has returned to racing in typically competitive form this time and remain sole occupant of the second line of Sunline Stakes betting at a generous $5 quote for success.

Beginning her career under the guidance leading Perth trainer Simon Miller, Miss Rose De Lago has undoubtedly kicked up a gear since transferring to the care of Danny O’Brien prior to her 2015 campaign.

Resuming in spring for success in the Champagne Pommery Masters Handicap (1800m), the daughter of Encosta De Lago placed fourth in the Group 2 Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) before winning the Group 3 Ladies Day Vase (1600m) on October 14th.

Having placed third in the Group 3 Mannerism Stakes (1400m) and fourth in the Group 3 Schweppervescence Trophy (1600m) this time, Miss Rose De Lago will leave from the ideal barrier 2.

Noble Protector threw the jockey in her racing return a fortnight ago but remains a chance of success on the third line of Sunline Stakes betting, at a quote of $6.

A strong and consistent performer through her entire racing career in Britain and Australia, the Haafhd mare returned in 2015 for success in each of the Schweppervescence Trophy and Sunline Stakes before running third in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m).

Having trained well in the lead-up to her 2016 campaign, Noble Protector will be partnered by Craig Williams and should relish the conditions of mares’ company once more on Thursday.
