Entertains was unable to match the late pace over the 1900m of the Group 3 Epona Stakes (1900m) last weekend, but has been included in 2015 Sunline Stakes nominations.

Posting three wins and a further four minor place finishes from her eleven competitive starts so far, Entertains is yet to muster much of a consistent run of form this time in; having placed seventh in a minor over 1400m at Randwick first-up before placing a close second in the Group 3 Aspiration Quality (1600m) on March 7th.

Nigel Blackiston has saddled talented mare Suavito to notable success already this season, and has included the four-year-old in 2015 Sunline Stakes nominations as a final competitive point of call ahead of The Championships in Sydney.

Securing seven race wins and as many minor place finishes over her 17 career starts so far, Suavito ended a typically strong campaign through 2014 in the best way possible; winning each of the Group 3 Eliza Park International Stakes (1600m) and Group 2 Momentum Energy Stakes (2000m).

Returning this time for consecutive victories in the Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m) and Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m), another polished performance in the Sunline Stakes appears likely for the daughter of Thorn Park.

British import Noble Protector stamped her claims as a serious autumn competitor when returning with a near-five length victory in the Group 3 Schweppervescence Trophy (1600m) on March 14th and appears likely to continue through the 2015 Sunline Stakes.

Arriving in Australia and the care of Robert Smerdon prior to the Spring Carnival, the Haafhd mare ran a close second to subsequent two-time Group 1 champion Contributer in the Group 3 David Jones Cup (2000m) first-up before placing fourth in the Group 3 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m) on November 8th.

Three-year-old Peggy Jean is also yet to find a consistent run of form this time in but is arguably offered her best chance of success so far under the weight-for-age conditions of the 2015 Sunline Stakes.

Undoubtedly finding career-best form to date over the 2014 edition of the Autumn Carnival, Peggy Jean ran second in the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) before charging home to take out the Group 1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) most notably on Day 1 of The Championships.

The 2015 Sunline Stakes final field and barrier draw is due to be completed and released by midday, Wednesday. is currently offering the best odds on all Moonee Valley races this weekend!
